Police in Shrewsbury are investigating the deaths of a mother and daughter.

Early Friday morning police responded to Ladyslipper Drive where Worcester County DA, Joseph Early said a 49-year-old woman was found and rushed to nearby UMass Medical Center. Early said she was pronounced dead on arrival.

While searching the home, Early said that police discovered the body of a 12-year-old girl and she was pronounced dead on scene.
