A Berlin, New Hampshire man has been sentenced to the New Hampshire State Prison after pleading guilty to multiple fentanyl and cocaine offenses in two counties.
Jeff J. Lemoine announced that Eric S. Hogan, 29, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl) with intent to sell and dispensing a controlled drug (fentanyl) in Carroll County Superior Court. The court sentenced Hogan to 9 to 20 years in prison on the possession with intent charge. On the dispensing charge, he received 3.5 to 7 years, suspended for 10 years from the date of his release, to be served consecutive to the stand-committed sentence.
Hogan also pleaded guilty in Coos Superior Court to two counts of sale of a controlled drug (fentanyl) and two counts of sale of a controlled drug (cocaine). For the fentanyl sale charges, the court imposed 10 to 20 years, suspended for 10 years from the date of his release, to be served consecutive to the Carroll County sentence and concurrent with all other sentences. For the cocaine sale charges, Hogan was sentenced to 3.5 to 7 years, suspended for 10 years from his release, also consecutive to the Carroll County sentence and concurrent with all others.
Prosecutors said that on April 16, 2024, in Conway, Hogan was found in possession of approximately 247 grams of fentanyl. He admitted to possessing the fentanyl with the intent to sell and to having dispensed some to another person on April 15, 2024.
The investigation also found that Hogan sold fentanyl and cocaine to a confidential informant in Berlin on two occasions in March and April 2024.
Hogan’s guilty pleas concluded a multi-agency investigation spanning both Carroll and Coos Counties.
