On Tuesday night at about 6:00 PM, Connecticut State Police was notified by New York State Police and the Westchester Country Real-Time Crime Center that a motor vehicle had fled from a traffic stop on Interstate 95 north in New York. 

Troopers with the Connecticut State Police were advised that the vehicle was traveling into the State of Connecticut. 

That vehicle was located by Troopers and Greenwich Police Officers on I-95 north in Greenwich. They conducted a motor vehicle stop after successfully boxing the vehicle in. 

The operator of the vehicle has been identified as Heury Aponte, 23, of Bridgeport, Connecticut. 

The investigation on scene revealed that Aponte had an active court-issued full no-contact protective order with his passenger. 

Aponte was arrested and charged with Violation of Protective Order, Improper Use of Registration Plate, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License.
