On Monday night around 11:20 PM, Divarys Hernandez, 24, of East Hartford, Connecticut turned himself in to Connecticut State Police on an active warrant issued for Hernandez in connection with a three-car motor vehicle accident on March 31, 2024 on I-84 in Hartford involving a stolen motor vehicle.
Through DNA samples obtained, Connecticut State Police was able to determine that Hernandez was the operator of the stolen motor vehicle and fled the scene following the collision.
A search of the vehicle revealed numerous firearms and firearm accessories, which Hernandez was prohibited from possessing.
Hernandez is charged with Evading the Scene of an Accident, Violation of Large Capacity Magazines, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm/Ammunition.
Hernandez was released on a court set $275,000 bond, and scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court on May 9, 2025.
