On Friday, at approximately 4:18 PM, Worcester Police Department responded to a reported robbery at the All Comm Credit Bank located on Park Avenue. Upon arrival at the bank, officers were informed that a robbery had just taken place, and the suspect had fled the scene.
Responding officers quickly gathered details regarding the suspect’s appearance and sent out an image through the department’s internal email system to alert other units in the area. Shortly thereafter, another officer noticed a male fitting the description provided, who was later identified as Christopher Grannis, a thirty-seven-year-old resident of Worcester.
Observing that Mr. Grannis was dressed in clothing matching that of the suspect in the circulated photo, the officer approached him for further questioning. After a thorough investigation, the evidence gathered led to Mr. Grannis being placed under arrest on Sagamore Road, where he was charged with Unarmed Robbery.
In light of the circumstances, detectives with the Worcester Police Department sought and obtained a search warrant for Mr. Grannis’ residence on Sagamore Road. Upon executing the warrant, they discovered additional evidence connected to the robbery, further substantiating the allegations against him.
