PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Rhode Island State Police arrested four people in separate incidents involving outstanding bench warrants, child abuse allegations and felony firearm-related charges.
The arrests occurred in Warwick, North Kingstown, Central Falls and Providence investigations, according to Rhode Island State Police.
Shortly after midnight Wednesday, at 12:07 a.m., troopers arrested Scott Hampson, 52, of Cranston, on a Third Division Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on the original charge of Obtaining Property by False Pretense or Personation less than $1,500.
State police said the arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 95 North in Warwick.
Hampson was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing before being taken to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
Less than three hours later, at 2:49 a.m., troopers arrested Timothy Sheeran, 52, of North Kingstown, on a Second District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on the original charge of Driving with Suspended / Revoked License.
According to state police, troopers encountered Sheeran after responding to a disabled motor vehicle on Route 403 East in North Kingstown.
Sheeran was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and later transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
Separately, on Tuesday, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Justis Robertson, 22, of Central Falls on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant issued by the Central Falls Police Department.
According to state police, the warrant charged Robertson with First Degree Child Abuse and Domestic Simple Assault.
Authorities said Robertson was taken into custody without incident before being turned over to the Central Falls Police Department.
Also on Tuesday, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force, working alongside the Providence Police Department Intelligence Unit, arrested Anthony Folcarelli, 30, of Pawtucket on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant issued by the Providence Police Department.
According to state police, the warrant includes three counts of Felony Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, one count of Drive-by Shooting, one count of License or Permit to Carry a Firearm and one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.
State police said Folcarelli was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Providence Police Department.
