A traffic stop for speeding on I-95 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, leads to drug trafficking arrest for New Hampshire State Police.
On November 29, New Hampshire State Police pulled over a vehicle for speeding on I-95 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The driver of the vehicle was identified by NHSP as Andres Carpio, 33, and the passenger of the vehicle was identified as Raymundo DeJesus, 43. Both are from Haverhill, Massachusetts.
NHSP said during the stop DeJesus “Attempted to discard bags of alleged narcotics from the passenger side window in an apparent attempt to conceal the narcotics being trafficked. The attempted disposal of the narcotics was captured on a Trooper’s dash camera.”
During a roadside investigation, NHSP said, “More than 200 grams of fentanyl and approximately 200 grams of crack cocaine were seized.”
Both DeJesus and Carpio were arrested for possession of a narcotic drug with intent to distribute.
DeJesus was additionally charged with falsifying physical evidence.
Both were released on personal recognizance pending an arraignment scheduled for Monday, January 27, 2025, in Portsmouth District Court, and NHSP says additional charges may be forthcoming, pending an ongoing investigation.
