A serious motorcycle crash prompted a large emergency response early Saturday morning in Uxbridge.
Shortly after the crash, the Uxbridge Police Department advised the public that officers, firefighters, and EMS crews were working a severe car versus motorcycle crash in the 300 block of Mendon Street (Route 16). The crash resulted in serious injuries, and the roadway was temporarily closed as first responders worked at the scene.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while the scene remained active.
The extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries has not been officially released, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Additional information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
