Classical French cooking has long been recognized as the foundation of modern culinary arts. Its emphasis on technique, precision, discipline, and respect for ingredients has influenced chefs and kitchens around the world for generations.

My own journey into classical French cooking came from a desire to understand the traditions and techniques that create truly exceptional cuisine. I had the opportunity to spend six months studying classical French cooking in New York City, where I learned how to prepare traditional French dishes and develop a deeper appreciation for the methods behind them.

During my training, I learned from some of the most respected names in the culinary world, including Eric Ripert and Daniel Boulud. Their dedication to excellence, attention to detail, and respect for the craft of cooking helped shape my understanding of what it means to create memorable food.

Through this experience, I studied the fundamentals of French cuisine, from classic preparation techniques and sauces to the importance of balance, presentation, and allowing quality ingredients to shine. I learned that great cooking is not just about following a recipe—it is about understanding the purpose behind every step.

The lessons I gained from classical French cooking continue to influence the way I approach food today. Whether I am preparing a traditional Southern meal, an Italian-inspired pasta dish, or creating something new, the principles of patience, technique, and passion remain at the heart of my cooking.

For me, cooking is more than a meal. It is a story, a tradition, and a way to bring people together around the table.
