Earlier today, officers assigned to the Worcester Police Vice Squad were in the area of Park Ave and May St. when they observed a male pacing back and forth in the parking lot of CVS.
Officers observed a gray Honda pull into the parking lot and signal to the male who had been pacing and checking his phone. The male entered his own vehicle and they met up around the corner on Winfield St.
The male who had been pacing entered the Honda and exited after about fifteen seconds.
Officers stopped the male and discovered two bags of what appeared to be heroin. Officers stopped the Honda as well and removed a male identified as Nicholas Diaz Rivera, fifty-three-years-old of Sussex Lane.
Officers located several more bags of what appeared to be heroin and bags that appeared to be crack cocaine.
Mr. Diaz Rivera was placed under arrest and is charged with Distribution of a Class A Substance, Possession of Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of a Class B Substance with Intent to Distribute. He will be arraigned in court.
