On Monday at the United States District, U.S. District Court Judge Allison D. Burroughs sentenced Anibal Pires, 30, of Brockton to 18 months in prison and three years of supervised release.

Pires, a convicted felon pleaded guilty in February to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

On Nov. 29, 2018, Pires was found in Brockton in possession of a Taurus PT111, 9mm pistol and 10 rounds of 9 mm ammunition.
