The New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs by a score of 105-95 in Game 1 of the 2026 NBA Finals. The Knicks have now won 12 straight playoff games this postseason.

Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 30 points. Brunson hit a crucial corner three with two minutes to go and then hit a late mid-range dagger with 38 seconds left.

Karl-Anthony Towns recorded a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds and OG Anunoby had 17 points.

The Knicks were down 14 in the third quarter, but stormed back to tie the game entering the fourth.

Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs in scoring with 26, but shot just 6-21 from the field. Wembanyama, Devin Vassell, and De’Aaron Fox combined for an abysmal 13-45 shooting.

Castle was second in scoring for the Spurs with 17. Julian Champagnie and Dylan Harper had 16 each.

The Knicks ended the game on an 11-0 run, effectively putting the game out of reach. A win in Game 2 for the Knicks would effectively steal home court advantage for the Spurs.

The Knicks are three wins away from their first championship in 53 years.

Game 2 is Friday at 8:30 p.m. on ABC.
