BROCKTON, Mass. — A Brockton man is facing the full force of the law after authorities uncovered a staggering arsenal and drugs at his business. Felipe Jonet-Branco, 31, was arraigned Wednesday in Brockton District Court on 26 criminal charges, including Machine Gun Possession, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, firearms violations, drug distribution, receiving stolen property, and ammunition offenses. A judge ordered him held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
Law enforcement zeroed in on Jonet-Branco during an investigation by the Massachusetts State Police’s Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team and the FBI. Officials say his Crescent Street business was a hub for criminal activity. On February 4, agents executed a search warrant, seizing multiple firearms, including a Glock machine gun hidden in a secret compartment, loaded high-capacity magazines, and drugs including marijuana, psilocybin, and codeine.
Jonet-Branco was taken into custody during a traffic stop as part of the operation, which also involved Brockton and Randolph police. Authorities described the seizure as a major blow to organized crime in the area.
He is scheduled for a dangerousness hearing on February 9, where prosecutors will push to keep him locked up. This case exposes a chilling mix of firepower and narcotics on the streets of Brockton and underscores the aggressive pursuit by law enforcement of those who threaten public safety.
