Putney, Vermont — A 24-year-old man was arrested Monday afternoon following a reported domestic assault in Putney, according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks responded to a call in Putney, Windham County, at approximately 12:10 p.m. on Jan. 5. Police said their investigation determined that Dakotah Kennett, 24, of Putney, committed a domestic assault.
Kennett was taken into custody in Putney and transported to the Westminster Barracks for processing. He was later lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility, where he was held on a $500 cash surety bond.
Police said Kennett was issued a citation ordering him to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Jan. 6 at 12:30 p.m. Court action is pending.
The Vermont State Police did not release information about the victim, citing policy that prohibits the release of names in domestic violence cases.
