The Knicks walked into Orlando with a 9-6 record and the kind of road mojo that screams trouble, and the Magic made sure it stayed that way. Orlando punched out a 133-121 win by outworking, out-finishing, and flat-out outmuscling New York in every quarter, turning a tight, foul-soaked slugfest into a second-half separation the Knicks never recovered from.

Franz Wagner carved up the Knicks all night, blasting them for 37 points on a blistering 13-of-19 and 4-of-6 from deep, cashing every free throw and shredding the defense whenever New York threatened to make a push. Desmond Bane dropped 27, Jalen Suggs threw in 26, and Orlando’s trio basically dictated the pace from the moment the Magic erased New York’s early 10-point burst.

The Knicks weren’t exactly quiet. Jalen Brunson fired off 33 with 11 assists, Karl-Anthony Towns muscled in 24 and hit 10 of 11 at the line, and Mikal Bridges drilled 18 on efficient shooting. But efficiency wasn’t the issue. Turnovers were. Fouls were. Defensive leaks absolutely were. New York coughed up 17 turnovers and racked up 28 fouls, handing the Magic the one thing they didn’t need: more free points. Orlando happily took 26 of 30 from the stripe, nearly perfect while New York trailed behind at 22 of 28.

This wasn’t finesse. It was elbows, whistles, and bruises. Both teams threw themselves at the glass, dead-even on rebounds at 36. The paint was a different story. Orlando bulldozed New York inside for 64 points to the Knicks’ 46, hammering away possession after possession until the defense broke down. Even when the Knicks’ bench outscored Orlando’s 40-28, the Magic simply answered with heavier punches in the lane and cleaner execution when it mattered.

The Knicks’ big early push—up 15-5—vanished as quickly as it came. Orlando led for 29 minutes, New York for just 15, and once the Magic delivered a 13-0 fourth-quarter run, the game was effectively locked away. Wagner, Bane, Suggs, and the free-throw line did the rest.

Josh Hart fouled out. Orlando kept piling pressure. And by the time the Knicks committed a late shot-clock turnover that summed up their whole night, the Magic were already strutting toward their seventh home win and a tidy 10-7 record.

Both teams shot well. Both traded runs. Both showed fire. But Orlando played cleaner, smarter, and meaner—and the Knicks’ mistakes handed the Magic exactly the margin they needed to close the door hard.

Final score: Magic 133, Knicks 121. New York walks out with bruises, whistles ringing in their ears, and another road loss they absolutely helped create.
