Springfield, MA — On Monday, August 11, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Springfield Police officers seized a loaded firearm and arrested 26-year-old Jawuan Loiodice-St. John after responding to a gun call.

Around 1:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 0-100 block of Trafton Road for a report involving a firearm. Victims told police they had purchased marijuana from the suspect, who then pointed a gun through the mail slot of their door.

Officers located the suspect, who attempted to break into an apartment while reaching for his waistband. Police placed Loiodice-St. John under arrest and recovered an illegal firearm loaded with 10 rounds of ammunition.

Loiodice-St. John, of Pittsfield, is charged with carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, six counts of home invasion, three counts of attempt to commit a crime, and resisting arrest.
