Major League Baseball has officially announced the rosters for the 2025 All-Star Futures Game, set to take place on Saturday, July 12 at 4:00 p.m. ET at Truist Park in Atlanta. Eight players are alumni of MLB and USA Baseball development programs such as the Breakthrough Series, States Play, Hank Aaron Invitational, and the DREAM Series.

 Umpiring Crew & Game Format

Umpires for the Futures Game include Charlie Welling (Triple-A, home plate), Elliott Melton (Double-A, first base), Bryan Van Vranken (Triple-A, second base), and Jared Duerson (Double-A, third base). These officials will also be on the field during the T-Mobile Home Run Derby and the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game.

The Futures Game, played over seven innings, continues the AL vs. NL format that began in 2019. Last year, the NL claimed a 6–1 victory behind a strong showing from MVP Cam Collier. The NL now holds a 3–1–1 advantage under this format. Since the game’s inception, 86.5% of participants have gone on to play in the Majors, with 250 earning at least one MLB All-Star selection.

Coaching Staff

A pair of Atlanta Braves icons will manage the teams, with Hall of Famer Chipper Jones leading the National League squad and two-time All-Star Marquis Grissom managing the American League. They’ll be joined by an all-star cast of former Braves and MLB greats, including Mark DeRosa, Tim Hudson, Andruw Jones, Nick Markakis, Fred McGriff, and Dale Murphy.
