UXBRIDGE, Mass. — Authorities have confirmed that the driver killed in this morning’s head-on crash on Route 146 was a 26-year-old man who was ejected from his vehicle during the collision.
The crash occurred after witnesses say one vehicle reportedly crossed from the northbound lanes through the grassy median before striking a southbound vehicle head-on.
The victim’s identity has not yet been officially released pending notification of next of kin. Unconfirmed information indicates the victim may be from Rhode Island.
The crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police, the Crime Scene Services Section, the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
