FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (April 25, 2025) – The New England Revolution have traded Homegrown midfielder Noel Buck to the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for $600,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM), with an additional $50,000 in conditional compensation. As part of the deal, New England will also retain a percentage of Buck’s future sell-on rights.

A product of the Revolution Academy, Buck joined the club at age 12 and rose through the ranks to become a first-team contributor. Over three seasons, the Arlington, Mass. native made 47 regular-season appearances (30 starts) and featured twice in the 2023 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. Despite limited playing time in 2025 — totaling just 22 minutes across two substitute appearances — Buck remains one of the club’s most notable academy success stories.

“Noel Buck’s journey from Academy standout to first-team regular is a testament to the strength of our pro player pathway,” said Revolution Sporting Director Curt Onalfo. “He’s been with us for nearly a decade, and we’re proud of the player and person he’s become. We wish him nothing but success in San Jose.”

Buck’s professional career began with Revolution II in 2021, where he quickly established himself as a key figure in the club’s developmental squad. He remains among the top 10 in Revolution II history in both appearances (44) and starts (36) across MLS NEXT Pro and USL League One competition.

New England, winners in three of their last four matches, return to MLS action on Saturday, April 26, when they visit Eastern Conference leaders Charlotte FC. The match will be available on MLS Season Pass in both English and Spanish, and on local radio via 98.5 The Sports Hub (WBZ-FM) and 1260 Nossa Radio USA (Portuguese).

Transaction Note: On April 23, 2025, the New England Revolution traded midfielder Noel Buck to the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for $600,000 in GAM, with up to $50,000 in additional conditional compensation. The Revolution also retain a portion of Buck’s future transfer rights.
