A man walking on the tracks in a Manhattan subway tunnel was fatally struck by a train Tuesday, authorities said.
He was seen walking on the subway tracks in the tunnel near Union Square, where the L-train hit him fatally, killing him around 7:45 pm witnesses said.
An MTA employee said, “He was right by the tunnel, so the driver didn’t see him until it was too late,” “The train ran right over him.”
EMS responded to the scene, but he was pronounced dead. There is still no information out on the man
