In the early hours of Monday morning, shortly after 1:00 a.m., a harrowing incident unfolded in Brooklyn, New York, when a taxi driver was shot during a dispute with a passenger.

The confrontation took place at the intersection of East 101st Street and Flatlands Avenue. 

According to the driver, identified as Prince Ezenekwe by the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers, an argument ensued, prompting him to pull over the vehicle. As the passenger exited the taxi, Ezenekwe reported that he suddenly heard a gunshot and realized a bullet grazed his face.

Despite his ordeal, Ezenekwe drove himself to Brookdale Hospital, where he was in stable condition, receiving care for his injuries.

In the wake of the shooting, the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers has stepped forward, offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the assailant. Meanwhile, the NYPD is actively investigating the incident but currently lacks a description of the gunman. As the investigation continues, the community remains on edge, hoping for answers and justice.
