Ricky Hale, 60, of Waterford, Vermont was arrested by Vermont State Police around 12:34 a.m. Friday morning.
Troopers with the Vermont State Police were notified that there was a possible impaired operator stopped on the I93 Southbound off-ramp facing the wrong direction.
Vermont State Police said, “Callers advised the operator, later identified as Hale, appeared impaired and had open containers of alcohol in his vehicle.”
Hale was located parked in a driveway and Vermont State Police said Troopers observed several signs of impairment while speaking with him, and he was taken into custody.
Troopers charged Hale DUI and driving on a criminally suspended license.
