In a recent incident in New Britain, Connecticut, law enforcement officers made arrests related to illegal narcotics sales and activity at the CTFastrak location in the downtown area. On October 10, Connecticut State Police responded to reports of suspected narcotic sales and activity at CTFastrak. Using the surveillance camera system at the location, the State Police observed three males engaging in hand-to-hand narcotics transactions and cash exchanges with multiple individuals. The troopers recorded detailed descriptions of each individual’s clothing for identification purposes.

One individual was observed using the narcotics immediately after purchase. This individual, identified as Urbina Eliezer of Hartford, was seen leaving the area where the narcotics transactions had taken place. Upon being stopped by the troopers, Eliezer admitted to purchasing narcotics from a group of adult males in the grassy area near the station. He then handed over two orange wax papers to the troopers. Eliezer was issued a misdemeanor summons and charged with Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was released from custody at the scene on a $500 non-surety bond.

Following this, the troopers located and detained three adult males who were identified as Shantee Seay of New Britain, Jan Carlos DelaCruz of Meriden, and Travon Jenkins of Middletown. A search of each individual led to the seizure of a significant amount of cash from all three. Subsequently, all three were arrested.

DelaCruz was charged with Illegal Sale of a Narcotic Substance and Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree. He was held on a $50,000 cash/surety bond and was scheduled for arraignment at New Britain Superior Court on October 11, 2024. Additionally, DelaCruz had three separate court-issued arrest warrants and was separately charged with Violation of Probation, Failure to Appear 2nd, and Failure to Appear 2nd.

Jenkins was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Illegal Sale of a Narcotic Substance and Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree. He was released on a $15,000 cash/surety bond and is scheduled for arraignment at New Britain Superior Court on October 29, 2024.

Seay was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Illegal Sale of a Narcotic Substance and Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree. He was released on a $20,000 cash/surety bond and will be arraigned at New Britain Superior Court on November 6, 2024.
