Connecticut State Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that happened Saturday night just after 11:00 PM.
A Ford Taurus, Connecticut State Police said, was traveling north in the area of 61 Johnnycake Mountain Road in the town of Burlington.
That vehicle Connecticut State Police Said for an unknown reason, “Veered into the right shoulder, struck a mailbox and came to an uncontrolled final rest against a tree.”
The vehicle caught fire and became fully engulfed, Connecticut State Police said.
The driver of the vehicle and a passenger, who have not yet been identified, were both pronounced deceased on scene by Burlington Paramedic.
