As the result of an investigation into a report of sexual abuse committed upon a 14-year-old female, Vermont State Police on Monday arrested William J. Barrett, 62, of Rutland, VT.
Barrett has been charged with Sexual Assault, Lewd/Lascivious with a Child, furnishing alcohol to a minor, dissemination of indecent materials to a minor, and promoting a recording of sexual conduct.
Vermont DCF and Rutland, VT. Police assisted in the investigation.
Barrett is in custody at the Marble Valley Correctional Center, and his bail is $25,000.
