Never actually in the game, the Warriors were out rebounded out, defended and outscored continuously throughout this game. The absence of Kristap Porzingis for this game did not matter at all and the Celtics starters were comfortably resting on the bench midway through the third quarter.
“The Warriors should cancel their next game,” said Stephen A Smith, “they need a week to recover.” With a final score of 140-88, this 50+ point beatdown marks the third 50-point win the Celtics have this season.
27 points from Jason Tatum and 29 from Jalen Brown were scored with just a little over a half of the game played. The Celtics dominance is apparent, fans only hope that this home win against the Warriors can rectify the home losses in the playoffs two years ago.
This 52 point win marks the third largest in Celtics history, a lovely birthday present for Jason Tatum who Just turned 26. “Give them credit,” lamented Steph Curry after the game, “they came out and whooped us tonight.”
