Battling the Nets in back to back games the Celtics managed to lambase the Brooklyn Nets in a game which resulted in a 50-point bashing. The Nets finishing with only 86 points, marking a season low in opponent scoring.

Consequently the Celtics largest lead of 56 points symbolizes one of the biggest differences, in scoring, in the NBA this season. With Jalen Brown out for the game and Porzingis only playing in the first half, Boston still commanded the control of the game in its entirety.

As they have demonstrated in the past, the opposition never knows where the offensive production will come from, when it comes to the Celtics team. Tonight it was Derek White with 27 points and an unlikely source, Peyton Pritchard with a game high 28 points, to lead the Cs.

Boston, leading the Nets in rebounds, steals, assists and blocks, completely dominated the game in all four quarters and even with starters resting in the second portion of the game, Celtics still rousted Brooklyn.

“Our goal is to win and we did that today,” said Sam Houser contributing with 14 points including four made threes. Rolling into the All-Star break the Boston Celtics could not look more confident in that quest for an 18th championship ring.

With an 8-day break all on the team, except for Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown, who will be involved with all-star weekend, can take a much needed rest and prepare for the second half of the season.
