As they had done during the week with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Boston Celtics hosted the Orlando Magic twice in three days over the weekend at TD Garden in Boston, MA. Boston was looking to do what they did to Cleveland and complete another back-to-back sweep of Orlando.
On Friday, Jayson Tatum led the way for Boston with another 30-point performance and Payton Pritchard scored 21 coming off the bench as the Celtics defeated the Magic 128-111. Pritchard also shot 6-7 from the three-point line.
Boston’s bench outsourced Orlando’s 47-28 in the win, as well. The Celtics did all this without Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford, who did not play this game.
On Sunday, it was Jaylen Brown who took over for the C’s in yet another home victory. He scored 17 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter as they improved to 14-0 at home with a 114-97 victory.
The Celtics will travel out west to take on the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET.
