On Monday at New Haven Superior Court in New Haven, Connecticut, Judge Gerald L. Harmon sentenced Pharoh Jackson, 23, of New Haven to 30 years in prison.
On September 18, 2023, Jackson pleaded guilty to Felony Murder.
December 27, 2019, Corey Gomes, 35, of Hamden, Connecticut was fatally shot during a robbery.
Jackson arranged to purchase marijuana through an individual with the intention of robbing the marijuana dealer at gunpoint. At the time of the transaction, Jackson produced a firearm and shot Corey Gomes during a struggle between the two men.
When interviewed by members of the Hamden Police Department, Jackson admitted to shooting the Corey Gomes during the attempted robbery.
