Tennessee 57, UConn 3
It was a game of threes for the Vols and Huskies. Vols quarterback Joe Milton Jr scored three total touchdowns – two passing and one rushing, all in the first half – and three UConn turnovers led to three defensive scores in the eight-touchdown win.
UMass 31, Merrimack 21
A five-yard touchdown from Merrimack running back Malakai Anthony gave them a 7-0 lead over UMass. The Minutemen would then go on to score the next 31 points and despite being outscored 14-0 to end the game, they were able to hold on for their third victory of the season.
Holy Cross 28, Lehigh 24
Lehigh quarterback Brayten Silbor threw two touchdowns in the first quarter – both to Eric Johnson – and Lehigh led 14-0 after the first 15 minutes. Crusaders quarterback Joe Pesanasky threw two touchdowns in the second quarter, both to Jalen Coker, and the two teams were tied at 21 at halftime. Running back Jordan Fuller scored the game winner in the third quarter, and Holy Cross held on for the win.
Yale 36, Brown 17
Yale quarterback Nolan Grooms threw four touchdown passes in Yale’s three-score victory over Brown. Three of those touchdown passes went to Mason Tipton.
Harvard 38, Columbia 14
Kaleb Moody was the leader of Crimson Red, recording two interceptions on defense and returning a blocked punt for a touchdown as Harvard improved to 7-1. Running back Shane McLaughlin rushed for two touchdowns in the victory, as well.
Hampton 42, Maine 35
Maine led 35-21 in the third, but Hampton wasn’t going down without a fight. They would score the final 21 points of the game, including the game-winning touchdown, a seven-yard run by Elijah Burns, his fourth of the day.
Villanova 45, New Hampshire 33
Villanova’s offense scored six touchdowns, four from quarterback Connor Watkins and two from running back Jalen Johnson, in their win over New Hampshire. Johnson also rushed for 145 yards.
