Wednesday night at Mohegan Sun Arena, the Connecticut Sun hosted the Minnesota Lynx for game one of the best-of-three series to begin the WNBA postseason. 

The Sun own game one with a 90-60 win, and DeWanna Bonner led the Sun in their win with a double-double, tallying 17 points, 15 rebounds, and six assists in the win.

Alyssa Thomas tallied a double-double with 15 points and 10 assists, along with three rebounds and postseason career-high tying five steals.

Rebecca Allen finished with a postseason career-high 15 points, going 5-6 from three-point territory while Tiffany Hayes tallied 14 points, going 4-6 from three-point range, and Ty Harris recorded 12 points, two assists and one steal. 

The Sun, who forced Minnesota into 19 turnovers, which resulted in 30 points for the Sun, set a new postseason record for three-point field goals made in a single game with 16 on the night. The previous record was ten set on September 19, 2019, against the Los Angeles Sparks.

The Connecticut Sun face off against the Minnesota Lynx in Game 2 of Round 1 of the playoffs on Sunday, September 17 at 1:00 PM ET at Mohegan Sun Arena.
