Early Sunday morning New Hampshire State Police arrested Jose Galindo Mendoza, 45, of Canterbury, NH for reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, open container and operating without a valid license.

Around 12:30 a.m, July 30, 2023, New Hampshire State Police received multiple reports of a wrong-way driver traveling northbound in the southbound lanes on I-93 between mile markers 41-44 in the city of Concord.

New Hampshire State Police said they located the vehicle on I-93 at mile marker 45 in the town of Canterbury, and that a trooper was able to successfully stop the motor vehicle in the left lane and made contact with the lone operator. 

After a roadside investigation, Mendoza was arrested. He was later bailed and released but is due to appear at the Merrimack Superior Court on August 24, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
