New Hampshire State Police on Tuesday night rescued an 83-year-old woman who fell out of a boat into Lake Winnipesaukee in the town of Gilford, New Hampshire.
It happened around 9:40 p.m., as New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol Supervisor David Jones was coming off the water after an evening patrol.
New Hampshire State Police said “While coming into the Gilford docks of Marine Patrol Headquarters, he heard a commotion nearby and immediately responded. Upon arrival at the docks, Supervisor Jones spotted a female in the water with several other bystanders nearby. The woman had fallen into the water from her boat while at the Gilford town docks.”
Supervisor Jones was able to immediately assist the 83-year-old woman out of the water to safety with the help of other bystanders.
Gilford Fire and Rescue responded to the scene for an evaluation, and New Hampshire State Police said “There were no injuries.”
