After evening up the series in game two with a blowout win, the Boston Celtics looked to regain home court advantage with a win in game three.
Joel Embiid would be presented his MVP trophy in front of the home crowd prior to the start of the game.
Embiid would have 30 points and 13 rebounds in what became his seventh straight loss to the Boston Celtics in the postseason.
Embiid would also accidentally step on Grant Williams head when trying to go for a loose ball.
Williams wouldn’t score in the game three win for Boston but would play crucial minutes on the defensive end with two blocks and four rebounds in his 23 minutes of playing time.
James Harden, the man responsible for the 76ers game one win, has scored a combined 28 points in games two and three after scoring 45 in game one.
Harden would score 16 points to go along with 11 assists.
Jayson Tatum would score 27 points to go along with 10 rebounds and 5 assists after being in foul trouble in game two and only scoring seven points.
The other Jay, Jaylen Brown would score 23 points in the Celtics win which is his third 20 point game of the series.
Al Horford would be Boston’s third highest scorer with 17 points that included a couple of key three pointers that kept Philly out of range in the closing minutes.
Boston would go on to win 114-102 to go up 2-1 and secure home court with their second straight win.
The Celtics have a chance to go up 3-1 or see the series tied 2-2 on Sunday at 3:30 for game four in Philadelphia.
