Maine Celtics Capture Win And Playoff Spot Versus Westchester Knicks

The Maine Celtics would suit up for their final game against the Westchester Knicks. This was the second to last game for the Knicks as they will play their final game on Saturday.

The Knicks and the Celtics are in two different places as Maine is currently third in the Eastern Conference and would clinch their spot in the playoffs with a win. Westchester on the other hand is already eliminated from playoff contention.

The two teams would be all tied up after the first half. Both teams would split the quarters with Maine winning the first 25-24, while Westchester would win the second in the same fashion 25-24.

The game would go from a tight battle to a runaway for the Celtics as they would outscore the Knicks 32-19 in the third quarter. The Celtics at one point would go on a ten point run which would give them a 13 point lead with only one quarter left to play.

Both teams would score 29 points in the fourth quarter but the damage had already been done by Maine as the Celtics would go on to win 110-97. 

Maine would see 29 points from Mfiondu Kabengele as the Celtics end the season at 19-13 which has secured them a playoff spot and currently puts them at third place in the Eastern Conference.

Westchester would see 20 points from Justin Wright-Foreman as the Knicks fall to 9-22 which is currently 14th in the Eastern Conference as they will play their final game in D.C versus the Capital City Go-Go on Saturday.
