The North High Polar Bears are the new High School Boys Division 1 State Champions.
North High makes history winning their first Division 1 state championship in school history along with being the first team in Worcester to do so
The Championship game came on a 73-64 win against fifth seed Needham
Tahlan Pettway would lead the way for the Polar Bears with 22 points. While for Needham Henry Bickford would score 20 points which was a team high.
The Polar Bears were the sixth seed in the tournament and faced 27th seed Wellesley, 11th seed Beverly, 14th seed Brockton, and seventh seed Newton North to get to the championship game.
North High also posted a regular season record of 18-2 with their only two losses coming in a Christmas Tournament that was outside the state of Massachusetts.
