UMass 75, Rhode Island 65
Matt Cross only shot 40 percent from the floor for the Minutemen, but he also went 12 of 14 from the free-throw line. That statline proved key in their win over their New England rival in Rhode Island.
Holy Cross 66, Lafayette 50
The Lady Crusaders used a strong second half, outscoring Lafayette 21-11 in the third quarter en route to their victory. Forward Janelle Allen led the way with 11 points for Holy Cross.
Assumption 76, Pace University 58
Assumption dominated the first half in their game against Pace University, outscoring them 43-28. The Greyhounds pick up their fifth win while Pace drops just their third game of the season.

Bridgeport 84 – Goldey-Beacom 81
In Wilmington, Delaware Saturday afternoon, the Bridgeport Purple Knights secured an 84-81 win against Goldey-Beacom. Matt Turner got Bridgeport into this game with a three pointer, assisted by Taj Chiles to make it a 3-2 Purple Knights lead. In the first half of this game Turner made five three pointers and a jumper to put 17 points on the board for Bridgeport. D’Andre Collins made a layup and three FTs to put five on the board in the first half. Malcolm Moye made two layups and a jumper to put four points on the board. Mason Williams made two three-pointers, a layup and a free throw to put 11 points on the board. At the end of the first half this was a 43-42 Goldey-Beacom game. In the second half of this game Matt Turner had a nice three pointer followed by a layup and making six free throws. Turner ended the night with 38 points on the board. Joshua Dennis made a layup to end the night with five points on tge board. Mason Williams made a layup and a three-pointer to put 10 points on the board for the night. Taj Chiles made two layups to end the night with 9 points on the board. Tim Dawson made two layups and two three-pointers to finish the game with 13 points on the board. D’Andre Collins made two three-pointers tho finish the game with 8 points on the board. Malcolm Moye made three layups and finished the game with 10 points on the board. Bridgeport will be back on the court January 21, when they host Holy Family.
UMass Amherst Minutemen 75 – Rhode Island Rams 65
Coming off a close 78-77 loss to LaSalle UMass bounced back winning 75-65, behind a 22 point performance from Matt Cross the minutemen improved to 11-6 while the Rams fell to 6-11. Both teams continue action on Tuesday with Umass taking on VCU while Rhode Island faces Richmond.
UMass Lowell River Hawks 65 – Binghamton Bearcats 66
Umass Lowell coming off a 15 point win versus Vermont the RiverHawks were up early leading 33-30 at the end of the first half. But Jacob Falko for the Bearcats scored 9 of his 19 points in the final 3 minutes and hit the game winning free throw as Binghamton won 66-65. Everett Hammond led Umass with 16 points.
Boston College Eagles 63 – Wake Forest Demon Deacons 85
With back to back losses to Duke and Miami the Eagles have now lost 3 in a row. The Demon Deacons won 85-63 with Andrew Carr led them with 21 points along with Cameron Hildreth who added 20. Jaeden Zackery led the Eagles with 14 points. The Eagles fall to 8-10 and take on North Carolina on Tuesday.
