A Football Player Shot And Killed At A Philadelphia High School Football Scrimmage

A high school football scrimmage turned deadly Tuesday afternoon in Philadelphia with one player killed and four others injured.

Police say two gunmen are responsible for the shooting outside Roxborough High School around 4:30 p.m. on the 300 block of Fairway Terrace. 

The football scrimmage was between three high schools, Roxborough High School, Northeast High School and Boys Latin Charter School was just ending when five players were walking off the field and the two gunmen ambushed them from a Ford Explorer.

Police in Philadelphia have confirmed a 14-year-old male was shot and later died from his injuries. Another 14-year-old male and a 17-year-old male were also shot and taken to an area hospital in stable condition. A fifth player suffered a graze wound.
