The Hartford Yard Goats Wednesday night had their eight game winning streak snapped by the Portland Sea Dogs, who won 4-9.
Christian Arroyo started this game with a single to drive in Ceddanne Rafaela to make it a 1-0 Portland game. But at the bottom of the first, Michael Toglia hit a single to drive in Hunter Stovall and make it a 1-1 game.
Bottom of the second both Willie Maclver and Niko Decolati scored to put Hartford on top 1-3.
At the top of the third Portland took the lead of this game 4-3 with Ceddanne Rafaela and Christian Koss both scoring. But at the bottom of the fourth, Danjel Montano hit a dinger to tie the game 4-4.
Top of the fifth is when the Sea Dogs began their final take over of this game, with Tyler Dearden hitting a dinger to drive in Izzy Wilson to make it a 6-4 Portland game.
Top of the sixth, Kyle Cottam scored to make it a 7-4:Portland game and then a wild pitch helped to drive in Christian Koss who stole third to get him in scoring position and make it an 8-4 game.
But to end this game and add insult to injury, Nicholas Northcut hit his first dinger of the season to help Portland secure their 9-4 win.
