In Brockton, Massachusetts on Thursday night the Brockton Rox hosted the Worcester Bravehearts at Campanelli Stadium.
In the bottom of the first Manny Ramirez Jr. opened this game up with his first double of the season to drive in Jaden Sheffield and then a single hit by Eric Volpi to left field drove in Manny Ramirez Jr. and D’Angelo Ortiz. At the end of the first it was 0-3 Rox lead.
In the bottom of the second Jaden Sheffield hit his second double of the season to drive in Peter Messervy and make it a 0-4 Rox lead and in the bottom of the third Dennis Gamester hit his first single of the season to drive in D’Angelo Ortiz and make it a 0-5 Rox lead.
After three scoreless innings, at the top of the fourth TJ Wachter and Lewis Barnum both scored to get the Bravehearts into this contest and make it a 2-5 Rox lead.
In the bottom of the fifth Eric Volpi hit a double to drive in D’Angelo Ortiz and make it a 2-6 Rox lead. It was the third run of the game for Ortiz.
At the top of the sixth TJ Wachter got his second run of the game for the Bravehearts to make it a 3-6 Rox lead. Matt Livingston then scored for the Bravehearts to make it a 4-6 Rox lead. In the bottom of the sixth Chris Markovich hit his first homer of the season to make it a 4-7 Rox lead.
In the bottom of the seventh D’Angelo Ortiz grabbed his fourth run of the game to make it a 4-8 Rox game.
