Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin And U.K. Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace Talk About Russia

On Wednesday, Pentagon Press Secretary John F. Kirby confirmed that Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with U.K. Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace today.

Kirby said “The leaders condemned Russia’s violation of international law and its international commitments by recognizing the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics as “independent” states.”

He also said, “The leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to security assistance in support of Ukraine’s right to defend its sovereign territory and committed to continuing their close coordination.”
