Eight Members Of Congress Now Have Tested Positive For COVID-19

Seven members of Congress have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past couple of days and now, another member of the U.S. House of Representatives has tested positive and he’s saying “America is in a new phase of this pandemic. No one is immune,”

House Majority Whip James Clyburn who tweeted Wednesday night that he has tested positive for COVID-19 has also urged people who have not been vaccinated and boosted to do so. 

Clyburn, a South Carolina Democrat said it is a breakthrough case and he is asymptomatic.

Representative Barbara Lee, who is vaccinated, tested positive for the coronavirus on Tuesday. A day earlier, Senators Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker tested positive for the virus. Both said they are vaccinated and boosted and were experiencing mild symptoms. Representatives Jason Crow, Nicole Malliotakis and Matt Cartwright have also tested positive in recent days.
