Massachusetts State Police Investigating A Fatal Motorcycle Accident In Athol

Massachusetts State Police have confirmed that the operator of a motorcycle involved in an accident in Athol earlier Wednesday night, was pronounced deceased on scene.

State Police say that troopers responded to a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on Route 2 eastbound at mile marker 75 in Athol.

When troopers arrived they located the operator of the 2002 Honda Motorcycle deceased after suffering serious injuries sustained during the crash.

While Massachusetts State Police have not yet released the identity of the operator of the motorcycle, the do say that it is a male about 25.
