Thursday night was a great night for New England sports fans as the Boston Celtics claimed a 95-78 win in Miami against the Heat and the Bruins, they claimed a 5-1 win against the Red Wings.
In the first period at TD Garden, Patrice Bergeron had the first goal of the game for the Bruins. In the second period, Patrice Bergeron had two goals. In the third period, Lucas Raymond got the only goal of the game for the Red Wings, Mike Reilly got the fourth goal of the game for the Bruins and then to wrap this game up, Patrice Bergeron made a nice snap shot.
At the FTX Arena in Miami, the Celtics were looking for their second in the Sunshine State after beating the Magic on Wednesday night. With 95 points, 46 rebounds and 16 assists (31-78fg, 16-41 3PT and 17-20FT). The Celtics will next head to Dallas to play the Mavs Saturday night at 8:30PM.
Also happening Saturday, the Worcester Majors will launch their inaugural season in Worcester against the Providence Pirates. Game time is at 3:00 PM at the Bancroft School.
