With their 2021 inaugural season now wrapped up, the Worcester Red have already announced their second season, 2022 in Worcester.
While the Worcester Red Sox will still play divisional rivalries like the RailRiders, Bisons, Mets, IronPigs and the Red Wings the WooSox say that they will not be playing the other 10 teams in Triple-A East but they will play five additional teams in 2022.
Those teams include the Durham Bulls, Toledo Mud Hens, Charlotte Knights, Jumbo Shrimp, and the Norfolk Tides.
The WooSox will also visit the Mud Hens, who play in the Midwest Division.
Their 2022 season will be expanded to a 144-game slate including 72 home games at Polar Park.
The 2022 season will start on the road, on Tuesday, April 5 in Jacksonville, FL against the Jumbo Shrimp for a 6-game series from April 5-10.
The WooSox will play their home opener at Polar Park on Tuesday, April 12 against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
The WooSox will end their season on the first day of fall, Wednesday, September 21 at home vs. the Syracuse Mets.
