State Department Urging Houthis To Cease Attacks

On Sunday the State Department announced, “the United States is deeply troubled by continued Houthi attacks.”
The United States is calling on the Houthis to cease attacks impacting civilian areas inside Saudi Arabia and to halt any new military offensives inside Yemen which the State Department says, “Only brings more suffering to the Yemeni people.”
The State Department is urging the Houthis to refrain from destabilizing actions and demonstrate their commitment to constructively engage in UN Special Envoy Griffiths’ efforts to achieve peace.
