On Wednesday Governor Baker announced that on Thursday a second COVID-19 testing site for public safety personnel will open.
The mobile testing site will be at the Big E fairgrounds in West Springfield and the Governor says it will supplement a site at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough that launched earlier this week.
The site will serve police officers, firefighters, EMS and PSAP personnel, correction officers, mortuary service providers, and state active duty National Guard personnel who perform critical public safety functions.
The sites in both Foxborough and West Springfield will perform 200 tests per day, seven days per week, with appointments scheduled in advance by agencies and departments through a call center at the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.
