Brockton – A firearm reported stolen in North Attleborough was recovered Wednesday during a joint investigation in Brockton.
Brockton police detectives and federal agents searched a Newton Street apartment and recovered a 9mm semiautomatic handgun, a large-capacity magazine, and ammunition. The firearm was reportedly one of five stolen in North Attleborough on Oct. 3.
Police arrested 26-year-old Antoine Montrind of Brockton, who faces multiple firearms charges and a receiving stolen property charge.

The investigation involved the Brockton Police Narcotics Unit, FBI Metro Boston Gang Task Force, and ATF.
The recovery removes a stolen, loaded firearm from circulation and eliminates one potential threat to public safety.
