HARTFORD, Conn. — The Hartford Yard Goats are bringing one of hip-hop’s most recognizable artists to Dunkin’ Park as the club continues celebrating its 10th season in Hartford.
The Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies announced that Warren G will perform a postgame concert following the team’s game on Friday, Sept. 4.
The performance will take place after the Yard Goats host the Reading Fightin Phils, the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
The concert is included with admission to that evening’s game and is being presented as part of the organization’s anniversary celebration.
Team officials said the event is intended as a thank you to fans and sponsors who have supported the franchise throughout its first decade at Dunkin’ Park.
Warren G, born Warren Griffin III, emerged from Long Beach, California, during the early 1990s and became one of the defining figures of West Coast hip-hop.
His breakthrough came with “Regulate,” a collaboration with Nate Dogg that climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became one of the era’s signature songs.
Over a career spanning more than three decades, Warren G has sold millions of records worldwide while building a catalog that includes “This DJ,” “Nobody Does it Better,” “I Want It All,” “Ain’t No Fun,” “Smokin’ Me Out,” and “Do You See.”
Beyond his success as a recording artist, Warren G also established himself as an influential producer.
He contributed to Dr. Dre’s landmark album “The Chronic” and Snoop Dogg’s “Doggystyle,” including work on “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang,” a recording recognized by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The rapper has continued performing and collaborating with artists across multiple generations.
His recent work includes collaborations with Icewear Vezzo, Zoe Osama and other newer performers while continuing to tour internationally alongside Snoop Dogg and DJ Quik.
His career has also included appearances at major music festivals, national television performances and collaborations that have introduced his music to new audiences.
The Yard Goats say the concert is another way to recognize the support the organization has received since opening Dunkin’ Park.
The club has regularly incorporated concerts, promotions and community events into its schedule, and the Warren G performance adds another entertainment event to the anniversary season.
Fans attending the Sept. 4 game will be able to remain at the ballpark after the final out for the concert.
Tickets covering both the game and the postgame performance are currently available through the Yard Goats by phone, online and at the Click It or Ticket Box Office at Dunkin’ Park.

The announcement adds another high-profile event to the Hartford club’s 2026 schedule as the Yard Goats continue marking a decade of baseball and entertainment at Dunkin’ Park while giving fans an opportunity to see one of hip-hop’s most influential performers immediately after the conclusion of the Sept. 4 game.
