St. Johnsbury, Vt. — A St. Johnsbury man has been cited on a charge of driving under the influence following a traffic stop conducted by Vermont State Police.
According to Vermont State Police, troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks initiated a traffic stop on Route 2 in St. Johnsbury at approximately 6:59 p.m. on Aug. 1 after observing a motor vehicle violation.
The operator was identified as Zachery Caron, 21, of St. Johnsbury.
State Police said their investigation revealed that Caron had operated a motor vehicle under the influence.
Authorities took Caron into custody and transported him to the Vermont State Police Barracks in St. Johnsbury for processing.
Police said Caron was processed and later released on a citation.
Caron is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County court on Aug. 10, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
